Prometrium Side Effects
Natural Progesterone is NOT prescription Progestin. Natural Progesterone is bioidentical to the hormones in your body. Prescription Progestins are chemically modified progesterones (Progestins) so as to be patented and thus can be sold as expensive patented drugs. Natural Progesterone cannot be patented because it is found in nature.
You should feel some difference after 10 days. IF you do not feel any different, you may be one of the 1% of patients that do not absorb Natural Progesterone well through the skin. This may confirmed with a saliva test. You may take a prescription Natural Oral Progesterone (Prometrium) instead.
Good Side Effects
- Increased sex drive
- Trim Waistline
- Thicker Hair
- Healthy even weight during the entire cycle
- Healthy non tender breasts
- Feel Happier
- More regular period
- Fertility MD’s use Natural Progesterone to prevent 1st Trimester Miscarriage
Too much estrogen (estrogen dominance) causes the body to become less sensitive to thyroid hormone. In other words, you will have normal or low thyroid hormone by lab test, but look hypothyroid. Thus, too much estrogen causes hypothyroid even though lab tests are normal. If you are hypothyroid due to estrogen dominance, then you will have fat on the hips and thinning hair. Natural Progesterone will reverse too much estrogen and oppose estrogen, IF you avoid xenoestrogens. Thus, it may become easier to lose fat on the belly and hips and grow thicker hair when you take Natural Progesterone and have normal thyroid function.
Natural Progesterone is known as the “happy hormone”. During the third trimester of pregnancy, the placenta produces 400 mg/day of Natural Progesterone (20 times the normal dose). After delivery (the placenta is delivered too), progesterone drops to zero and then you get post partum depression.
Common BAD Side Effects
- Increased Bloating
- More cyclical breast tenderness
- Irregular period
- Increased headache
- Worse menstrual cramping
- Increased anxiety, irritability, mood swings, and depression
- Increased weight gain
Your body tries to compensate for prolonged chronic estrogen exposure by becoming less sensitive to estrogen. As soon as you take Natural Progesterone, then your body regains its original sensitivity to estrogen. And it seems that you are getting more estrogen because your sensitivity has increased back to normal.
Too much estrogen (estrogen dominance) is characterized by increased bloating and increased breast tenderness. So it looks like you are getting more estrogen even though you are not.
Irregular periods can occur because of the regaining of original sensitivity of estrogen so it seems like you are getting more estrogen even though you are not.
The solution is to STOP Natural Progesterone STOP all xenoestrogens, WAIT for 1-2 months, and THEN try Natural Progesterone again.
For instance, I had one patient that was a medical doctor from China. She now worked as a nurse in the USA. She had grapes in the breast and yuckiness in the womb. As soon as she received Natural Progesterone she used it immediately. Grapes in the breast and womb yuckiness both became worse. She called me. I counseled her to stop all xenoestrogens and wait a month. She religiously followed the avoidance list that came with our product and began to apply Progestelle ® the next month. The next month, the grapes in the breast began to improve along with her womb yuckiness.
